i hate those posts that are like “what if your mother aborted you?” because it’s LIKE. i value my mother as having her own agency above my existence simply because she came first. if she aborted me, id be fine with it because in the fucking hypothetical of un-existence & knowing, id rather her have access to safe abortion than having to carry & birth when she didn’t want to like wtf kind of egotistical question is that. do u not value yr mother in the least. whatever joys you’ve gotten out of life aren’t greater than yr mother’s choice
all the new fuckers: don’t censor words in ur post with numbers, @ and punctuation signs, different letters, shit like that. not just cuz it’s absolutely fine to say weird shit and things that other places generally censor on tumblr, but also cuz there are people with screen readers, and when u unnecessarily censor things like that, it really fucks with screen readers and makes it very difficult to read.
this isn’t just a “you don’t have to” thing, it’s a “you shouldn’t”.
also it makes the blacklist function useless
pretend the word “bananas” is a common trigger and i don’t want to see posts with that word, so i add it to my blacklist. if you make posts spelling it “b4n@n4$”, my blacklist won’t block it and i will see your triggering post.
hey uh HUGE warning for anyone who watches youtube - a pokemon ripoff mobile game called evertale is currently running an ad campaign on youtube leaning into ‘disturbing pokemon creepypasta fodder’ and the contents of these ads contain a HEAVY amount of depicted blood, gore, and a LOT of flashing images and disturbing audio. this all comes without warning and could easily trigger people. if you see an ad for evertaleSKIP IT IMMEDIATELY. youll be able to tell it’s from them by the top-down pixelated pokemon style, the one i saw was of a girl with blond hair on a bike with some sort of creature behind her. it’s boggling that youtube even allows stuff like this to be advertised
